Good Morning and Happy Top of the Week to ya!

This weekend was a whirlwind. It was very productive, which is always nice. And as always, snuggling with my animals and watching their idiosyncrasies was my main source of entertainment.

Off to the studio we go! Time to kick off the week with a monster workout. Laughter, squats and tears. Wait, tears? I've noticed this over time. Women seemingly breaking down during their workout. Tears free flowing. But why? What happened to the endorphin high we're used to experiencing?

Whether it's work, some kind of loss, a change in environment, relationship woes or feelings of frustration, the emotion gets stored deep inside the psyche and takes people by surprise when tipped off during a workout. This is actually a common occurrence noticed by massage therapists, acupuncturists and chiropractors.

According to John Upledger, DO, OMM, founder of craniosacral therapy, our bodies store emotions in the form of energy cysts. When an accident or trauma occurs, the energy from that event enters the body. If your body is unable to to rid itself of this energy, it compresses itself into a localized energy cyst, storing it for processing later.

Upledger found there are specific positions that free emotional restrictions. You may encounter an outpouring of emotion when certain ranges of motion fall outside of your daily patterns or activities. Unleashing repressed emotions can be a life-altering experience. Allow it to flow. This release has been found to clear up irregular heartbeats and improve both Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. Stress related symptoms such as headaches, backaches, ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome heal.

Being present enough to realize when this emotion is coming over you and allowing it to happen no matter how it may come across to others in your company, may unlock the courage it takes to make a dramatic life decision, or rebuild yourself from the inside out. And chances are, there's someone having the same experience that you may encourage by being open to it.

Now off you go. Remain in tune with yourself and notice the space you create for all the amazing experiences you deserve.
