Happy Friday! 

Hope it's been a good week. It's been a pretty good one over here. I've been working on putting together a good morning/vortex playlist that gets me present before I begin my work for times when I just can't seem to meditate. 

What most of us do (I'm guilty of this) is try something once maybe twice and if it doesn't work we just give up. We say it's not for us instead of figuring out why its not working and find something that does.

I officially now have 4 different versions of my morning ritual that gets me present, happy, grateful and focused before I respond to emails or anything else. I'll get into that later.

Why am I telling you this?

Well the other night one our members kept saying she has to get her life together. Granted I know we say that pretty often as a funny remark, but why? Of course I asked, she did not really have a clear answer. However, we say that as if there is something we feel we "should" be doing for our health and wellness that we are not currently doing, and if do it then we are "getting our lives together". 

Um, what?

Your life is together! You are beautifully, wonderfully and uniquely made. No one in the world gets to be YOU and live your experience. Sounds pretty damn awesome to me. 

Fitness and Health Magazines will say do these 5 exercises, eat these foods, lift like this and this is how you will reach your goals. We say it goes beyond that. Maybe what works for someone else doesn't necessarily works for you.

With that being said I'm going to share something our coach shared with us - S.A.V.E.R.S! This is applicable to everyone in some way. You just have to find the specifics for you. I've shared some mine below.

Implement these 6 easy steps and you are on your way to any and all of your health, wellness, fitness, career, and personal goals.

Silence - Pretty self-explanatory. When you can, take some time out in your day to just be silent. I do this in the morning and I have 4 different versions of my silence and I do them all with tea. Makes it so nice to wake up to something warm in the morning. 
          1. 20min Guided Meditation  
          2. Listen to 5min affirmation video. 
          3. Listen to a spiritual talk usually something from Abraham Hicks or HayHouse Radio
          4. My Vortex Playlist

Affirmations - Saying something positive about yourself or your day. This is usually taken care of when I am at the studio because we always close out with an affirmation circle. 
Some of our favorites:
           1. I love my body and my body loves me
           2. I fuel my body with foods that love me
           3. I fuel my Spirit with words, thoughts and people who love me
           4. I am open to an abundance of health, wealth and happiness
           5. I put myself first and I am ok with that

Visualization - Take some time to visualize your day, the positive outcomes you hope to achieve. Or visualize your end game and the steps you need to take to get there. If you have a hard relationship with a co-worker or boss visualize your interactions going smoothly. 

If you want to start working out, visualize yourself doing so. Eating better? See yourself in the kitchen preparing your food for the day or next couple of days or your smoothie. See it! And then feel it. How does it feel to accomplish these tasks? Accomplished? Strong? Confident? In control? 

Exercise - Yep! This is definitely on the list. No way around it. We have a skeleton surrounded by muscles. If you want to continue to move your bones and not get any of them replaced you have to exercise. No way around it. 

This doesn't have to be as complicated as you think it is. It could be taking the stairs, parking far away from the door, carrying your own groceries and bags, getting up every hour to walk and get some water or fresh air if you have a sedentary job, walking instead of driving if something is within 1-2 miles. 

Reading - All successful people read. Doesn't have to be self help or finance or anything like that. While those are good to include in your list of books, it can be fiction. Just read! It's taking time to escape your day to day and to take time for yourself. 

Sasja and I love to read right before we go to bed. We do not get far in our books because it puts us to sleep, but it's better than watching TV or being on our phones right before bed. I just finished School of Greatness. Now I'm reading I Will Teach You To Be Rich simultaneously with The Perfect Day Formula. 

Scribing - Otherwise known as writing. I know, who owns a pen and pad anymore? You can type too. That counts, but there's nothing like writing on paper, at least to me. Examples:
          1. Ideas Journal -  Write down all your ideas throughout the day
          2. Gratitude Journal - Write down 7+ things you are grateful for at the end of the day
          3. Brain Dump - Write any and everything that is in your head to just get it OUT of you.


Well there you have it! 6 Steps To Get Your S***t Together. No more excuses guys. All of these are doable. Just throw them in your day. Follow the suggestions included to get started until you find what works for you. The key takeaway is that all of these forces you to put yourself first and to be present even if its for very small moments throughout the day, but those add up! They count!
