Good Afternoon Everyone!

It is such a beautiful day. The sun is shining and the sky is clear and baby blue from the much needed, cleansing rain we had in L.A. yesterday.

The cycle of life includes receiving. If you're a person who is used to giving, sometimes being on the opposite end can feel awkward. I know I certainly feel strange about taking, even if it's a compliment.

I have to constantly remind myself that the words are not only for me, but the person offering them. It is a chance for them to express, release and celebrate their presence in that very moment.

We can lose our balance when we try to be too controlling at either end of the cycle. Maybe we don't feel worthy of receiving. Or maybe we think that giving easily diminishes value because it comes to us effortlessly.

But when we allow ourselves to receive as well as give, we do our part to encourage the channels of abundance to open and remain so for ourselves and others.

Have you ever received a compliment by giving a compliment? Perhaps you've responded to a gift by giving an even more expensive gift, or throwing a more elaborate party for someone who has done this for you. The thing is, when we respond from a place of obligation, the energy shifts from something to be shared to something that drains.

Being accepting is to be genuinely appreciative, which is a gift in itself. It is nurturing for all parties. So the next time you are offered a gift, simply say, "Thank You!", for it is merely a blessing from the Universe.

In fact, there's no time like the present! Here's a gift from us to you.
